Welcome to Susan Strong Botanical Art

Susan Strong (McDonald) completed her B.A. in Biology from Sweet Briar College and her M.A.
and Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Minnesota. She taught Art and Art History at
North Hennepin Community College in Minneapolis, MN. Her understanding of botanical art and
watercolor was enhanced by her studies with Olivia Braida Chiusano at the Sarasota Academy
of Botanical Art. Two of her botanical paintings are in the collection of the Anderson Library
Collection of the University of Minnesota Arboretum in Chaska, MN.
