Symphyotrichum dumosum

This little aster offered the last bit of color and pollen in our area of Jacksonville Florida.

I was surprised to discover that its range went as far north as….. It looks delicate in this painting, but it is a very sturdy little weed and deserves credit for blooming so late in the season.
