Monarda fistulosa

This painting is created from the Monarda that now thrives in my tiny little prairie garden in Wisconsin. I am always thrilled that it attracts so many bees and wasps. They will work their way from one tiny flower to the next until they have scoured the whole flower head. This painting is now in the Anderson Library Collection at the University of MN Arboretum in Chaska, MN.
